Founder / Interior Designer
Hi, I'm Stacey - founder of Stacey Smith Interior Design
I believe great design is about more than how a space looks — it’s about how it feels.
Based in Taranaki, I create modern, sophisticated interiors that are not only beautiful but also cohesive, inviting, and designed to enhance everyday life.
Before founding Stacey Smith Interior Design, I spent more than 10 years running my own business. During that time, I worked closely with both residential and commercial clients, helping to design kitchens and workspaces while supplying high-quality appliances and electronics. This experience gave me a strong understanding of how people use their spaces every day, and how important it is to balance style with practicality.
I hold a Diploma in Interior Design from the NZ Interior Design Institute, along with specialist certificates in SketchUp, Commercial Design, Kitchen and Bathroom Design, and Landscape Design. This combination of creative vision, technical knowledge, and real-world experience allows me to bring a thoughtful and well-rounded approach to every project.
I work across both commercial and residential design — from workplaces that inspire productivity and collaboration to homes that feel warm, functional, and uniquely personal. I can also assist with sourcing appliances and products as part of the design process, helping to create spaces that feel cohesive from concept through to completion.
Whether you’re transforming your office, refreshing your home, or designing a new space from the ground up, my approach is always collaborative, approachable, and tailored to your needs.
